Author expounds on Scripture in a unique way—through rhyme

It wasn’t easy, however; after coming to the Lord, she fasted, fought, and prayed her way through the spiritual warfare she was thrust into at the time she was saved. IN JUST ONE WEEK

He’s coming, He’s coming, the crowd did cry –
As waving palm leaves, they watched the man on the donkey ride by,
Some climbed trees, to be able to see –
This man, this man of Galilee;
But some just looked, their faces tight and still –
And hid in their hearts – the want to kill.
The start of this week, had only just begun –
As most of the crowd cheered on and praises were sung;
Near the end of the week though, most of the crowd seemed to change –
Anger was there, and a death was arranged,
Arranged for our Lord Jesus, the King of the Jew –
And sorrow filled the hearts of only a few;
Now it was kill Him, kill Him the people cried –
When only the week before, they had cheered as He rode by,
Oh, see what can happen in only one week –
The people cheering, then anger, then death they were to seek;
This was God’s plan, so we, could of sin, be free –
Oh, what a price our Lord paid, for you and me,
The first of the week, He had known what was coming, and yet on He had rode-
Oh, how much love, in our Lord’s heart does abode,
For us who are sinners, from the start –
Yes, He died so that we would never, from Him, have to depart,
So we could live together for always, oh how sweet ;
Oh, see what can happen in just one week.

Three Nails

Jesus prayed in the garden, “Father Your will be done,”
He prayed till sweat drops of blood, down His face did run –
Then with Judas, to the garden, the Roman soldiers came,
His kiss marked our Savior, and just imagine the shame –
That Judas felt, when they took our Jesus away,
To stand before Pilate, on that fatal day –
Now Pilate was scared, but the Devil egged him on,
Go on, be done with it, kill Him before dawn –
But Pilate left the final say,
To the Jew’s, who were screaming, “kill Him today –”
So they tried Him, found Him guilty, and to death sentenced Him,
And the worst He was guilty of, was loving all of them –
He was beaten, till the flesh, From His back was torn,
Yes, to die this way, for our sins, was why He was born –
They threw Him a robe of scarlet to wear,
And then from Jesus’ face, the soldiers plucked out the hair –
Then with three nails, some thorns, and two pieces of wood,
They planed the death of our Savior, on the hill, where crosses stood –
Yes, this was the price paid by our Savior, that only He could pay,
And pay He did, on that very day –
It was paid so that our sins could be forgiven,
Oh the pain, as those nails, through His hands and feet were driven –
Now the clouds began to darken, and the rain began to fall,
The Devil began to laugh, because he thought he had won it all –
But little did he know, that just in three days,
Our Savior would arise, and to God the Father we would forever give praise –
Because now we could have the gift of eternal life,
If we would just give Him our hearts, then there would be a lot less strife –
This pain that our Jesus bore, just for you and me,
Was bore so that forever, we could be free –
Free to tell of His glorious love,
To tell of how God sent His only son, to this earth from above –
To tell how, that all could have , life eternally,
Because He died for sinners, just like you and me –
By paying a price with three nails, some thorns, and two pieces of wood,
He has shown us that no one ever would;
Love us as much as our Jesus could.
